Social skills are vital for anyone’s development and can be particularly challenging for children in foster care. Our Positive Peer Interaction program provides structured and unstructured environments where children can learn social norms, empathetic listening, and conflict resolution skills.
Through activities, role-playing, and discussions, children learn how to navigate the complexities of social interactions. This equips them with the necessary tools to form and sustain friendships, stand up against bullying, and develop emotional intelligence.
This program is designed to be inclusive, facilitating interaction across ages, backgrounds, and experiences. In doing so, we’re creating a supportive community within our homes, one where every child learns the importance and value of positive social interaction.
